Our Windom antennas represent the best of both the vertical and horizontal antenna worlds. Our optional kits allow for vertical radiation (from the coax) to fill the gaps in the signal pattern of the upper, horizontal component.

Thus, this antenna becomes a near omni-directional antenna on all bands. Because there is no ground system for this antenna, it is ultra efficient as a "lossy" ground system is absent. Of course, the vertical and horizontal radiation characteristics of this antenna allow for it to be an excellent performer when installed at heights greater than 22'. Thus, for many hams Off Center Fed dipoles are an excellent, high efficiency antenna choice.
